Carpet store. There is a reason you aren't finding it online.

Yup. If you are in Moco, Carpet and Vacuum Expo in Potomac will have anything in the store cut and bound for you.

I saw someone getting a runner cut to size at Strosneiders. However the rug is cut and does not have a hem.

I ordered a custom one from Locust Lane. It took a couple of months but is great, and the price was reasonable. Absolutely don’t do a few small ones - that will look terrible. I also disagree w/ people who say it’ll slide. We have runners in all of our hallways and no sliding. Especially for rugs that big, they’re too heavy to slide. For the locust lane rug I did just get the runner from them, too. If you really are worried about sliding, you can buy grip tape from any big box store. You just put it under the corners. It has adhesive on one side and rubber on the other. Found in the carpet section

If you're determined to go for one full-length runner and want a traditional look, Golden Nile is a very reliable online seller of Persian rugs and similar:

Revival has a good selection, very reasonable prices, and options ranging from hand-knotted wool to washable. I've been happy with everything I've bought from them. https://www.revivalrugs.com/collections/runner-rugs?refinementList%5Bmeta.custom_fields.shape%5D%5B0%5D=runner

I agree with the PP above that it makes sense to look for two 12' runners. A common size will be much more affordable, but beyond that, a 20-25' runner will be more prone to getting out of alignment and harder to adjust when it does, and more unwieldy to move if you want to take it up for cleaning. I also suspect if your hall is that long it doesn't need any more visual lengthening and two shorter runners, matching or coordinating, would balance the space nicely.

That long and it's going to slide around. The carpet store has ones that look "rug" like and not carpet like. They can install it or just cut it and bind it.

What do you think they put up stair installations, etc? Runners with edges and motifs, etc.

Can you buy 2 or 3 shorter ones? Just make sure you don't have a break in the middle of a doorway. That's what I did for a very long hallway. Sometimes one very long run is hard to keep straight.

Depends what quality you're looking for. Basic, from your local carpet store or Home Depot (custom order.) If you want higher end and/or modern and/or sustainable, I like Sisalcarpet.com (ignore the misleading name, it's not just all sisal.)

I'm looking for a long runner for a long hallway in my home. 25 feet would be ideal, but I could make anything 20 ft or over work. This has been really hard to find. Any sources you can recommend? Thanks.
