I'm into nature so I like the Natural History Museum (sant Ocean Hall is cool) or the Baltimore aquarium if you can integrate buses into your planning. One event played all the boring pre recorded speeches on the buses so that once we got to the aquarium there was more time to mingle and eat and see the exhibits. Bonus was that you could be sitting down instead of balancing on fancy shoes for someone's long gratitude speech.
The worst, though, is when an event is held at the museum but they don't let you look at any exhibits at all and you're just stuck in a room that could be anywhere.

Must set up the corporate holiday party. What has been your favorite events venue in DC. I have done Mansion on O St., the Willard, Spy Museum, and the Line. Party is for about 100 people. Prefer really good food and cool space. TIA!
