I find them failing to clean the dishes unless I wipe the stains and leave no food residue at all. I don't think they use enough water, I hate long cycles and heated dry as it seems to bake in the stains and wastes so much. Anyone else has a habit of prewashing dishes by hand before putting into a dishwasher and then running an express type of cycle? I am spending so much time at the end of my day on kitchen tidying up after my family uses it and this whole doing dishes for everyone by hand is getting old.

It's just a habit I guess -- and I still have flashbacks of getting a fork with something baked on it! So gross!
This is a big waste of water/energy if you have a decent dishwasher.
