How is America supposed to compete on a level playing field when 9 out of the 10 sports we don't even give our kids a chance to try out in school?
There's 32 Olympic sports. Lots of high schools offer:
Soccer
Basketball
Swimming
Track and field
Tennis
Wrestling
Golf
Volleyball
That's a minimum of 1/4 being offered at a typical high school, and lot more than a quarter of the medals. Some also offer field hockey and water polo.
Also we do pretty well at the Olympics if you haven't noticed.
