It’s not the club, it’s the manufacturers.

What's crazy to me is to have "sponsors" on the jerseys but families still have to pay full price. It used to be that the "sponsorship" paid for the jersey, which is why their name is printed on the jersey.

Why is this even a complaint? So clubs lists these fees for you beforehand and try every year people commission like they had no idea and it's a hidden cost. I always find it funny when soccer parents complain about costs like a few hundred bucks is highway robbery as well. That's a drop in the bucket for other sports' gear. Come back and complain when you deal with things like hockey, gymnastics, and dance on a competitive level and how expensive the costs of just the uniform/costumes/gear you have to purchase are.

Same, you have to buy the "bundle" even though I know that my kid will NEVER wear the ugly sweatpants that don't fit right. Robbery.

Some clubs have mandatory slides!

We have backpacks, rain parka, warmup pullover, 2 uniforms + 1 uniform in long sleeve, training kit, and sweatpants

Every club we've been at requires it. Soccer.com will not even let you purchase partial kits until the season has started

Backpacks, sweater, pants, 4 jerseys.
I will never buy another item from Springfield Soccer again.

I sent two emails. No response. Total bill with tax is $414.
Add this to the long list of reasons why US soccer is nothing more than a money grab. Yes, I understand that I fell for it and will learn my lesson moving forward.
