What happens in the situation of grade 1-3 vacancy? Does one get a class assignment if there is the great misfortune of not having teacher assignment?

Schools are just now finalizing them. Our ES usually sends it out the monday before school starts but the principal also has a strong "no changing teachers" policy that she's happy to send to any parent who emails her complaining. I'd guess admins who are less comfortable doing that wait until the last minute so there is less time to deal with whiny parents who want their kids to be in class with their friend or want a different teacher or don't want to be in class with someone etc.

It’s not necessary to be so dramatic. Your student can look it up on their phone when you drive them to school. If they’re driving themselves, they can look on their phone when they’re walking to the front door.

And you can pick one up at school if you need it.

my girlfriend is a teacher she got her listed today- she works at a tile 1 school and has 18 kids.

At my kids’ elementary, they are usually out the 2nd or 3rd day of the teacher work week before school starts. So probably the 13th or 14th this year, leaning toward the 14th (Wednesday).

When will FCPS class assignments be out?
