I was poor.
I'm not a very involved parent. Got lucky the two I got need no hand holding.
Ex was not a good fit as a partner. Never met a man who would have been a good partner.
I hope my boys don't have kids.

I only wanted one. I wanted the flexibility one provides, and I knew more than one would overwhelm me and I wouldn’t be a good mom to more than one.

Few people in D.C. are actual natives. All of our extended family lives far away; we only came here for the jobs.

Pre eclampsia and HELLP, twice ..with the first being a preemie and in the NICU for several weeks, second got closer to term but PIH hit really hard and fast at the end. I was terrified that I would lose our second and DH thought I was going to die. Too risky to try again.

We wanted 3 but the pregnancy and delivery of #2 were so problematic we stopped at 2.
