Incels are the introverted, low self esteem, unattractive guys that girls laughed at and made fun of, and most guys also shunned. They are typically only accepted by other rejects and misfits who no one really likes and everyone thinks is ugly / unattractive.

The rejection and bullying and exclusion combined with shyness and poor social skills and low self esteem and self loathing turns into anger at women. They want to have a girlfriend / wife but feel unlovable and unattrative and undesirable given all the hate and rejection they received. So they sit in their rooms getting angrier and angrier at the injustice in life. They are involuntarily celibate due to being rejected / undesirable by women.

Instead of arguing over whatever issue he's become crazy over, ask him to take an internet break. A complete break. No podcasts, no niche news sites, no Twitter, nothing. Ask him to stop for a month. And then have him pay attention to the changes.
