Why rush each season?!
I like to enjoy the entirety of each season by itself.

Costco had Halloween costumes out in early July. I was there this morning and they have brought out the Xmas wrapping paper and gift tag sets they sell.

I wanted to find some fun summer tablecloths for my DD's bday party next weekend so I ran to Hobby Lobby. They had already clearanced out their Summer items and had fall and Christmas set up. Same thing at Home Goods, except it was mostly Halloween, a good amount of fall decor, and a sprinkle of Christmas.

Off to Amazon I went to secure the decorations.

I think it’s more associated with back to school and the beginning of Fall semester at colleges.

Multiple people?

I’ve seen one post that Starbucks is selling fall drinks. That’s it. No one I know in real life or online is calling August fall.

To me, Fall is September-November. Fall is also the start of school so maybe the shift to so many school districts starting in August has driven this "August=Fall" shift?

Which is only a 7-10 days off from the calendar dates. I remember my aunt arguing that my son was a winter baby when he has a birth date of Dec 1. I don't feel like he's a winter or even Christmas baby.

Mostly right, but seasons change around 20th and not 1st of the month.

I'm so glad my office doesn't have seasonal candles!

It's not fall around here.

In pagan times August 1 was considered the beginning of fall. Since February 1 was also considered the beginning of spring I wonder if seasons have just shifted since then.
Our local pools basically shut down first week of August because the college students who staff them are going back to school. Makes for a hot month.

My DD said it was time to switch to her Fall Taylor Swift playlist, which is apparently only Evermore and Folklore songs.

We live in the South (Virginia). It is going to be 96 today and feel like 105.

And yet I've seen multiple people in real life and on social media welcoming the start of Fall.

My office switched to casual dress when they made everyone hybrid 3 WFH days, 2 office days. I'm in the office today for a meeting later and several coworkers are wearing chunky sweaters and flannels. They even chatted this morning about being so excited to break out their comfy sweaters.

The pumpkin spice creamer has made an appearance in the office kitchen. Reception has switched to a fall harvest candle on the warmer.

When does Fall start in your eyes? For me, it's October. We do a yearly family beach trip in September to OCMD and have never had cool weather for it. When we lived in a house with an in-ground pool, we always kept it open until mid-October.
