I had a basic air fryer from Target, basket style, and returned it due to a horrible plastic smell each time it was used. It never got better and deep cleaning didn’t help.

Bought an air fryer toaster oven and it’s fine. A bit small but works for reheating pizza, air frying nuggets or baking a sweet potato. No smell either.

An air dryer is a very small convection oven that runs only at 400/450 degrees. A toaster oven runs in a full range of temps.

We have a Breville combi and I love the versatility in one countertop space.

To pp having the dripping problem, you are supposed to put the baking sheet under the basket when using the air fryer with things that can drip

We have the toaster oven air fryer, and have not figured out how to make it work as an air fryer (anything on the item being air fried drips into the heating element).

Would love to hear from others with one how to use it

And frozen. They both come out great. If frozen and no air fryer specific instruction, I decrease the temp 50 degrees and use the same time as the conventional oven instructions.

We just make toast in the regular air fryer. It works just fine.

Toaster oven style is more versatile, basket style performs significantly better if maximum crispness and reduced cooking time is the goal.

If you use a toaster oven regularly, you may want to buy the combo so that you don’t have two appliances.

If you will only use the air fryer, the standalone air fryer may be the better choice.

We received a very simple air fryer as a gift. However, we used it so often and it was smaller than we needed, we bought a another one. We ended up with a Ninja brand combo. It has a lot of functions, but we mainly use the air fryer, toaster, bake, and warmer settings.

I am slightly behind the times and need someone to explain to me the difference between a regular air fryer and an air fryer/toaster oven. Will they do the same thing but one also can be used as a toaster? I know it sounds silly but they look so different so I am genuinely curious.
Also, can someone please recommend a very easy to use but good quality one?
