jc, the Steve Carell character was mentioned as an example, used as an illustration, of a guy who looked much better with a haircut and better fashion choices.

Ohhhh I disagree! He needs to lose a little weight and go shopping. He could look quite sharp! He’s a little slouchy looking.

I would change nothing. He has a specific uniform (baby blue shirt, navy blue blazer) but they are well-tailored and fit well. This is a choice - he's deliberately not putting himself out there because the focus is on his wife.

It's okay if people want to do that but it's also okay to exist in the world (and even be on TV!) and not do those things. To age normally and just wear clothes that feel familiar and comfortable and just be at peace with the way you look without having to fix it and improve it.
