Why are you pushing her to drive?

If you knew her you’d know she has more resilience than everyone on this board. I don’t need anyone telling me I’m in denial or that I’m working around it for her. I’m frustrated for her and venting on a special needs board about my DD who is a better driver than most of the teens I see running stop signs in my neighborhood. She just happens to possibly get nervous around old, strange men in her car, a reaction I happen to think is not something that makes her a bad driver. This has not been helpful, not even as a place to vent. I’ll go elsewhere.

Yes, DC has a driving test that includes parallel parking.

She needs to conquer this, not have her mommy work her around this. How will she ever build resilience if she doesn't have to deal with and process anxiety?

You seem to be insistent on ignoring everyone here, but notice it's rare when we all agree - we all agree she is not ready and needs more work.

NP. We all know it’s not what you want to hear. But fact is when your daughter gets flustered or stressed she hits things. That is not a good driver. A good driver drives safely in all circumstances. I’m sorry.

Please don’t put this child on the road to kill herself or others. She is not ready. Take her back to the parking lot. Did she not practice with an instructor for 6 hours?

Can she go to the testing site when they're completely closed and do.a mock. test a few times? That should help.
