For fun…here is a list I could come up with. In fairness, some locations have previously hosted large NVSL events over the years.

Cardinal Hill - fast pool, lots of deck space, use Wolf Trap Elem for overflow parking, similar to how Pinecrest had a school about 1/2 mile away.

McLean - right next to McLean HS; field space.

Greenbriar - large field/park space next to pool, elementary school across the street.

Little Hunting Park - elementary school next to pool. Field space and large deck space.

Hiddenbrook - Dransville elem very nearby. Some field space onsite and field space at elem school if needed. Neighborhood parking.

Lincolnia Park - lots of field space and elem school nearby. Other schools within walking distance for overflow parking if needed.

Hiddenbrook…are you kidding. It’s not a fast pool or a great space. Flow for viewing would be terrible.

Thx! We ran Divisionals last year - this was our first go at All Stars.

There were some team records made during the event - so there were some kids swimming fast.

And yeah, the shallow end has been discussed. No digging planned for the off season so this is it.

I thought this was their second year running all stars.
It was well run, there was good food available. The drop off area was well run. There was ample parking. I loved that aspect.

Times weren’t fast, but kudos to Pinecrest for stepping up again.

Instead of complaining about Pinecrest, why don't you nominate a pool that meets all the criteria?

If you’re at All Stars for the concession, team areas, and viewing areas, then Pinecrest was great. For kids wanting to swim well, it’s a crappy pool due to the depth issues. Pinecrest just isn’t the right location for an All Star event.

Despite all the positive aspects at Pinecrest, you can't get away from the depth of the pool and the associated risk to the children.

That's not any easy/cheap fix and something you can't just wish away, unfortunately.

Concessions is always difficult since it is hard to keep up with demand. I’d suggest food trucks being brought it, but then that means the pool wouldn’t get the monetary profit. Anyone have any suggestions?

Pinecrest killed it as far as IAS. Considering this was the first year and tweaks will be made for next year. It was well done.

The single viewing spectating was on point and honestly this should be the new gold standard for both All Star meets. This camping for space BS needs to go (looking at your Division one top three twats).

The facilities were great, concessions good - but often times running out and forcing people to wait 15-20 minutes for food to be prepared.

The biggest "beef" would be a sound system running out to the field. This would go for Rutherford as well. With bluetooth you could link speakers so that everyone knows what is going on.

Machine the livestream was great and since Pinecrest actually has cell signal everyone was able to stream the meet to know what was going on. This was also a huge problem at Rutherford.
