Check out Longstreth for a good selection.

I’d also recommend seeing if she can try a few teammates sticks. This is very much about individual preference. High carbon sticks are not only much more expensive but they can be harder to use unless you are really comfortable with them. Don’t be lured in by the idea that the more you spend on a stick the better the performance. At that stage of development you are probably looking for 50% carbon or less.

Has she asker her club coach what type of stick may best suit her skills and strengths? It's true as a forward she may prefer a lighter stick, with a pretty high carbon content for strong shooting. My college playing forward likes an extremely low bow, which is good for 3-D skills, if she is decent at those. Her preferred brand for while was Ritual. I don't know the model, but it was probably about 95% carbon with an extremely low bow. We used to enjoy a little road trip up to Longstreth, where she could try out different sticks (Dick's does not carry good sticks). Unfortunately, the young players who staff Longstreth aren't great at giving advise. You really have to hit Longstreth and/or try teammates' sticks out to be sure.

This is a personal decision. What one player likes another may not. Dick’s will have some options, though limited. She could possibly ask her teammates to try their stick.

Hi, my daughter will be going into high school next year and needs to upgrade her hand me down stick. I would consider her as a competitive player. Not beginner, not elite.

Any recommendations of models and brands would be helpful. As a forward, I just know she needs something lighter. The stick she has now is a little heavier for a forward. Thanks!
