I just flew out if BWI on Friday. Drove to FastPark and got to the lot 2 1/2 hours early. No wait for a shuttle at all. They are circling and when you come in the lot they tell you what row to park in and the shuttle follows you. We checked bags on SWA, git through security (we do have precheck) and were at the gate more than 2 hours early. It was much faster than we expected.

If you sign up for a FastPass "membership" and book online, the cost is very reasonable. So much cheaper than parking at DCA or IAD.

We like getting to airport 2 hours ahead for domestic and 3 hours ahead for international flights. We almost always have extra time but rather have extra time than be rushed and maybe late. But maybe that’s just us.

I always arrive to park 2 hours before and get in with plenty of time.

Sometimes I can't figure out if a post like this is serious, or just trying to mess with OP

And OP, you need more detail. Do you have kids with you? Ages? (Generally if you have a baby/toddler you need more time) Do you have PreCheck and/or Clear? Are you checking a bag?

Two teens. No PreCheck or Clear. May check one bag. Thinking might be better to book a Uber or car service so we don’t lose time parking.

Just park in hourly garage. $27 +/- for the day.

.

The private lots like Fast Park work really well— no waiting for shuttles.

I prefer to be at the terminal 2 hours before (not parking). Spouse refers to arrive 1 hour before.

We usually split the difference, and so far it's worked out OK.

Well let's just assume from time walking into the terminal for simplicity. I'd say 1:30 if you aren't checking the bag, and 1:45 if you are.

Park at fast park. No wait for shuttle. 2 hours is more than enough time.

Most of the time that is plenty of time including to grab food. At spring break time we had a horrible wait from parking lot to check-in due to their shuttles (40 minutes) but still were able to make it to terminal in under two hours. That early in the morning you should be more than fine.

We have a domestic flight departing for Denver from BWI at 8.07am on Tuesday. Planning to arrive 2 hrs before departure. Does that sound right?
