I have stuck with clear frames. I like the way they look, and I find metal frames uncomfortable. But I agree that they aren’t particularly stylish right now.

I figure they’re on my face at least 16 hours a day so I’d better love how they look.

Lindberg is even more dated. About 20 years dated.

Yes they’re fine but I wouldn’t say “in”.

They’re also not “out”

Pick what you like and don’t spend more than ~$100 on them. Too many great options out there, mix it up!

Not sure but I really like them.

I’d pick whatever looks good on you. That said, the clear frames are out, and the youngs are wearing thin metal frames, though those have been in for a while so I wouldn’t be surprised if those will be out soon too. I feel the really large glasses popularized by Warby Parker are trending out and new frames are trending a bit smaller.

I just got new glasses after almost 4 years. I stuck with tortoise shell because I have really fair coloring but I did notice that all the frames had much bigger lenses that the frames I was replacing. Not quite 80s big, but a noticeable increase in size.

There are a lot of translucent tinted options out there if you want something light but still with a little color.

I don't think they were ever in.

I think totally clear frames look dated. They were just very trendy for a while. I'd go to a store and try stuff on though. I've seen cool and versatile frames in pink and brown and orange recently. There are tons of options out there.

Thanks. I'm replacing black and clear blue pairs and and don't want more black. Could just go with the same clear blue ones, I really love them, but thought maybe I should branch out....

I'm old and behind the times. Don't know if I should go for clear or contrast.
