damn protestors! This is getting too much and very annoying now. Just based on their aggressive nature, I don't support them.

The original thread was locked.....so starting a new one.
With the GW Parkway detour, everyone is being rerouted to Chain Bridge Road. We were sent this way when leaving the Kennedy Center yesterday. While no one was protesting on foot, we did get stuck in a caravan of protesters in cars with Flags....they were driving a few blocks, turning around, and then driving back the other way in a loop. It was impacting traffic. I would say that 75% of the cars I saw on those blocks were part of the protest.... probably 30 cars in total. There was also a large police presence on the road and in front of 2 of the houses.
Not sure what this will look like come Monday, but it has the potential to be a complete mess for commuters.
