Thanks for the additional info. Sounds like we should be paying closer attention to the charges than we have been.

I have no idea but it did list the make and model and was just tagged to our account and the transponder that’s “assigned” to our car.

Once I reported it and looked back at the year plus of charges I flagged them and they credited them all back. No issues since.

Yeah they just read the license plate wrong. Not a big deal to get reversed.

Yes I’ve had it happen. Someone in NY/North Jersey had a car like ours and took a lot of back and forth trips ($10-$15 charges) on our account. There is a way to submit a review request online. Takes a few weeks but I think they just credit it.

Thank you! I didn’t think about the video they might have.

My guess is someone went through without a transponder and the charge was based on an erroneous license plate read. It will be easy enough to prove by car style and color.

Our EZ Pass was charged for two trips yesterday that we did not make. The car was in the garage all day. Their customer service office is closed on the weekend and there is no way to flag charges as false. We will call on Monday but it’s so confusing how this could happen since the transponder is physically in our car. It’s going to be hard to prove to them that the charges are wrong and how to stop it from happening again?

Has this happened to anyone else?
