This is the first Olympics in a long while that I've been excited about watching. I'm 57 so grew up at a time when the Olympics monopolized our collective attention every four years. So many wonderful memories of watching with my family and talking about it with friends as school. I had such a crush on Eric Heiden in 1980!

We are recording it and will watch it together later. The kids are at camp right now

Is anyone watching the Opening Ceremony? It's pretty neat so far - I like seeing it along the Seine instead of in a stadium.
