I didn’t guess, this is what a friend who is a physician told me. One that actually is on that list.

Did you read where the prior poster says “don’t guess?”

Washingtonian surveys 13,000 local doctors and selects the “top vote getters ” in 39 categories (which results in about 300 selectees).

Get rec's from people you trust, or at least people you know. Failing that, a post to a local listserv might be a decent bet. Or even Yelp/zoc doc reviews or healthgrades/ratemds

A lot of those "DMV's best docs" lists are pay for play anyway.

Which ones can be bought into, do you know?

Washingtonian and Washington checkbook claim they are based upon surveys of physicians. But I always wonder what kind of horse trading goes on behind the scenes with that process.

Washington consumer's checkbook, available at many libraries. Just be aware that some of those named are really busy.

Hi all-does anyone have a source for good recommended docs in the area? I saw the Washingtonian list, but it was heavy on the dermatologists and light on other specialties, and also didn't include Johns Hopkins/Baltimore doctors. Happy to pay for it if access is required...
