That seems very high to me as well. I would expect that for moving fixtures but not changing a single to a double. But all you can do is call some contractors and get quotes. Ask for recommendations from people in your neighborhood.

One of the pp’s mentioned a few thousand. For me that’s not reasonable. Do you mind sharing an idea of how much the plumbing was for a ballpark? Thanks

We did it several years ago for the kid's bathroom and it was easy and reasonably priced. The plumber tapped into the line that was already there. You can get a double bowl top ( in store a home improvement stores or order custom) and use your current base or purchase an all in one if you don't plan to use the same vanity.

I have a long single vanity but want to remove and replace with a double. I
need to add another set of plumbing. Is this easy to do? Expensive? TIA
