You either need one or you don't. When we renovated our bathrooms, we opted for glass enclosures because I thought they looked nicer and were better for lighting.

Shower doors look sharper, but shower curtains are very practical in many situations, so they are fine. I don’t have a fancy tub, just a shower/tub combo. I like the shower curtain because I like to have it all the way open during a bath. A glass door feels claustrophobic. I replace shower curtains and liners often.

OP here. I should have said that we're seeing glass doors even on the tub/shower combos. So you open the glass door to get in the tub to take a bath or shower.

I still like shower curtains too, but am wondering if they're no longer in style?

We haven't been seeing many shower curtains in the newer/renovated homes. Even the hall bathroom tub/shower combos don't have them very often. Are shower curtains out of style?
