Mine is the exact same for 3 days now I’ve been testing negative but between last night and this morning I had some brownish discharge in my underwear. My period is set to come on Saturday. I have 3 children already and all my tests would have came back positive by now.

Is it still 3 days before your expected period or have you been testing negative now for 3 days in a row? Different answers for those two scenarios.

I had it with my first two pregnancies, not for my third (currently pregnant). I got brownish, rust-ish colored VERY FAINT blood when I wiped, right around the time of my expected period. I only saw it for maybe 1-2 trips to the bathroom. Then it stopped. A day or two later, I got a positive pregnancy test.

Implantation bleeding is well known on the internet, but apparently doesn't happen often in real life. When you think about it, the egg is minuscule. Burrowing into the endometrium shouldn't cause bleeding that's visible to the naked eye.

What happens more often is that women, especially after a certain age, have slightly lower progesterone than they used to, and this leads to spotting for up to a week before their period. If they're late 30s and above, it's perimenopause. Low progesterone negatively impact fertility.

All these things are worth mentioning to your OB.

idk but that’s not implantation bleeding. Rust means old blood meaning that if it were implantation bleeding implantation happened several days ago and you’d 100% have a positive test by now.

I would assume period only because 90% of women (who test before then; those who start testing late skew the stats) get a positive by 12 DPO.

I had a negative early pregnancy test 4 days before my expected period. I had light, brownish spotting the next two days and then a positive pregnancy test the next day. That baby is about to start middle school so it can happen!

I started spotting a light rust color three days before expected period. I’ve been testing negative on FRER so I assumed that this was an early period but it’s so light and it’s a brownish rust hue. Has anyone experienced this before and gone on to have a positive pregnancy test?
