I stayed at the Treasure Mountain Inn in Park City last summer and it was a great deal for a small suite with a kitchen.

Its not a terrible drive from SLC proper either.

Yep but VERY cold.

In Utah? No, not necessarily. Not compared to many other ski destinations in North America.

Who said we were comparing? January i Utah is in fact very cold. Letting OP know so they have the appropriate gear.

With Epic passes you are limited to Park City/Canyons. While PC doesn’t get the snow that Snowbird/Alta gets, you will be fine in mid-January for snow. We are avid skiers and go to Utah often, most recently in April of this year, and we had some powder days.

I don’t have any specific recs for PC. It has been a long time since we’ve been there. We have Ikon passes and go to Snowbird/Alta or Solitude. (haven’t tried Brighton)

Any recs for places to stay etc.? I haven't figured out our budget yet but we do not have unlimited funds.

Decide on which mountain or mountains you want to ski.

Is this a good idea? We have epic passes. Kids have been skiing for a few years, but I really want them to get some all day ski school lessons in this year. DH snowboards so he'll be out doing his thing. I can use some additional lessons myself. Would love advice on whether there will be enough snow, where to stay, etc.
