I plan to reverse my osteoporosis through diet, yoga, and strength training!

I am also like a PP trying to gain about 5-10 lbs (mostly lean muscle mass) so I don't go into old age as a frail older woman like my mother was.

I did this and feel fantastic!! I gained 15 lbs on purpose to help get my BMI in the best zone to get rid of osteoporosis.

The strength training, medicine, and diet helped a lot!

Ugh, I don't know.

My career is going decently ... I guess trying to sustain the momentum.

I've been pondering yoga teacher training. It would never be more than a side gig for me ... it would be more a way of deepening my practice. I know I'm old. But I'm not THAT old.

Goals before hitting 55? Great question. Maybe a sustained yoga practice even if it’s just a few minutes a day. I am so inflexible right now — my body feels brittle and misaligned. I like the idea of setting a small goal to improve that.

There is a long-term professional project id like to finish — the sort of thing that no one is waiting for but would bring me great satisfaction.

Should I take piano or guitar lessons finally?

Just get through the year. DD will be a junior headed into senior year, so the year will be filled with college tours and college apps. I anticipate a lot of fights and tears and frustrations.

Then in 2026 once DD goes off to college, I'm gonna retire. I'll need the time to recover from my ptsd from that year.

Survive emptying my nest, re-connect with my spouse, and continue Masters Swimming, which I just began this summer.

I was born in 1970.

I don’t have any particular “goals” for 55.
