It WAS a huge deal. It seems to clearly be your daughter’s fault. Let’s assume for a moment that you accept that. What does that do for your daughter? Do you want to add stress to a situation that’s already resolved? Guilt her about how stupid she was that she chose wrong?
Or are you just trying to hear that it wasn’t her fault?

Maybe she accepted a waitlist later. Maybe she got a scholarship later. She’s an adult and it was her fault.

Except none of this happened.
And it was a mistake…on your daughter’s part. Your question should have been: my kid clicked the wrong univ to send her final transcript to and when the school she is attending said her app was on hold bc her final transcript never came, she asked the counseling office what happened, they told her about her mistake. Yeah, she made a mistake that was quickly fixed, but don’t you think the counselor’s should verify everything for these adults???
Answer: no- and instead of championing your position, use it as a lesson for your kid to double check everything. And explain to her that we don’t worry about things that might go wrong.

Verifying with who? I am sure they don't double check with each student nor should they.

LCPS requires students to select the college that they are attending so that the high school knows where to send the final transcripts to. The college that my DC is attending has a "To Do" list and one of them is final transcript by a certain date.

Was it flagged in her portal? If I had accepted somewhere I would certainly try to doublecheck they had all my paperwork.
This actually happened to someone I know where in college the school never sent the transcript and they got rejected from a study abroad program and once they figured it out it was too late so they had to find another program.

Again, the counselor has no responsibility to endure they are sending it to the correct school? My DD has no access to anything to verify and if an error this large is this easy to make you'd think the school would be looking precisely for this because it must happen all the time.
I'm incredulous that my DD was the only senior of several hundred in her class to make such a simple mistake.
We have moved on but I want to know what happened.
