My division's former administrative assistant was a former teacher. Very organized, gets things done. Was recently promoted to a project manager role.

I can do it but I'm 40 now. I love kids but I don't want to work necessarily with them anymore since I have my own children if that makes sense!

Any ideas? Thanks

My long-term plan is to become an NP, which you can do with an AAS and a bachelor's in another area. Community college has been wonderful and is not expensive and nursing is much higher paying than where I was teaching.

Is that nursing degree two years like other CC degrees?

If I could I would be an assistant- fun with the kids and not as much responsibility.

Both of these jobs pay peanuts.

True- I figured since op was a SAHP the money wasn’t the point of going back to work.

If financially feasible, be an assistant. Still the fun parts of teaching without all the terrible parts lol

It does, I did the same thing before I had kids. I was younger though and was able to take a pay cut to get admin work and get general office skills. That was 10 years ago, and that experience combined with working my network and of course a little luck has me making 4 times the amount I started at. And you can pee whenever you want.

Without any recent experience that’s a big swing.

I would do SAT tutoring prep at like Princeton Review

Family friendly, and will build your vocabulary in English if it’s your 2nd language.

I am still fully certified as a teacher in my state but I shutter thinking about going back. I recently went into an interview and it just felt so wrong.
