I don't think so..I thought their plan is to fire a ton of feds which would probably really hurt the housing market.

But the Republicans increase DOD spending, so maybe no change in Va and decline in Md.

Everybody increases DOD spending.

No one is giving up their suburban house to move to DC while Trump is in charge. It's not worth the tax break.

In the DC metro? Probably not. They want to fire a bunch of feds, so it will affect middle class and lower middle class neighborhoods mostly in the suburbs.

I'd anything, the housing market locally will start going down instead of up.

Its not fair for DC to have federal income tax. I would support that.

No, for the most part, the people who move into or out of government when administrations change over already live here. Trump's planning to cut government and/or move agencies out of D.C., too, so if anything, that might spur a wave of home sales in the area.

house values are already sky high in DC and have been going up every year for pretty much that last two decades.
But if you really want to make DC homes triple in value overnight, make DC a tax free haven. There was a push a few years ago around that, may have been led by republicans or Grover Norquist types. We can't vote, so why pay fed taxes? That would actually get more republicans to move to DC!

Would a republican administration bring new buyers and raise house values?
