NP: OP explicitly said their son is potential interested in a UVA fraternity, but is concerned about hazing. How is that 'posting crap to bolster an argument' that fraternities are bad? One of my kids is in a frat--not my thing, but it wasn't my choice--I just said if you want to do it, pay your own dues. On the whole, I think it's a positive for him (but of course I don't know all the details). I'll still critique hazing (or racism or other abusive behavior) from frats just as I would from any other organization--as does my son. If anything, he's the one who'll critique them first and harshest since they contribute to the bad reputation of fraternities overall.
