Yes! For men especially, brands like Stetson and Borsalino are experiencing a renaissance. Stetson can’t keep its stratoliners in stock and Borsalino is returning to its pre-bankruptcy quality finally. Upstarts like Huvfud out of Denmark and KTG out of Brooklyn are innovating. Scally out of Boston is popular for flat caps.

Stetson just increased the price of its Pure beaver fedora to more than $700 from about $400. That’s custom hat range.

I have to wear a hat outside because of uv sensitivity. I don't take it off when I pop into a store because I
I need my hands to shop and my head is a pretty good place to store my hat.

When I put my hat down, I tend to forget it, and have lost more than one.

I wear a baseball hat when my bangs aren’t sitting right and I don’t have time to restyle.

If my fit includes a hat why would I remove it in a car?

Same reaso people wear their jackets in buildings. Because it’s on. If I’m on the grocery store, why take it off? Where will I put it. It’s not sanitary to have to in hand while i handle apples.

And if I took it off in the car for drive back home, my hair would prob look a hot mess. And it doesnt matter either way. So if I don’t care, why would anyone else!?

Frankly yes. In the summer I wear a hat to kids' camp dropoff and come home to do my hair afterward for WFH / Zoom calls.

Also if I'm wearing glasses and can't wear sunglasses, it's another way to shield my eyes from the sun.

But I usually just wear one in the car or popping inside, not for an extended indoor activity.

Woman here. Thinning hair. Wigs are itchy, hot, and take too much maintenance.

Women’s hats can be worn in homes and church.
