New poster here. I’ve tried posting in the regular forums on non NYC specific questions but it just doesn’t work.
Example, very average NYC incomes are considered astronomical by DC standards and so everyone thinks you’re humble bragging while you’re really just asking a real question about real choices that only New Yorkers get given the insane COL here.

I was going to suggest the same but include using NYC or UB in every username from your group and you can use the NYC area to post most things.

Hello, Jeff! I am writing on behalf of a small but enthusiastic group of moms who have been connecting online since the days of the original Urban Baby site. In the many years after Urban Baby was sold (and eventually shut down), we have wandered the web for a place where we can chat, argue, and reminisce with one another. Our most recent "home" has been taken over by a vexatious troll who the site owner is either unwilling or unable to moderate in any effective manner.

We are hoping that the DCUM community might offer us a place of refuge, and we would like to ensure that we can find one another in the crowd when we need to. We have initially agreed to meet up on the NYC Forum, but not everything we discuss is NYC-related (although most of us live in the NY metro area). We don't want to wear out our welcome here by posting on inappropriate topics for that forum, and we are hoping that you would consider creating a forum for us to use without annoying everyone else. Please let us know if that's a possibility, or if you have any other suggestions for us.
