Most dealers in the DMV will guide you through this. You pay taxes, title, tags of the state you reside in. You’ll likely be responsible for getting state inspection.

If I buy a car in VA, will I have to pay more or less than if I bought in MD (sales tax, registration fees, etc)? Are there any administrative hurdles to consider as well like an additional inspection?
