Also Hocus Pocus, I was shocked a few years ago when a little kid about ~8 came up to me on the playground and started talking about it

Mrs. Doubtfire
Most Adam Sandler movies, just stick to the PG-13 ones
The Mask
School of Rock
Dumb and Dumber
Legally Blonde

For shows try Abbott Elementary, Parks and Rec, Community, Brooklyn 99, and Arrested Development.

Your list of what she's not interested in is rather long.

She likes comedy, but there aren't that many funny movies targeted to 12 year old girls that don't center romance.

Well, but you don't want movies targeted to 12 year old girls, right? In the old days you guys would have gone to Blockbuster and browsed the aisles... can you do the same online and see what piques her interest? She is old enough to watch anything that isn't very explicit... historical movies, sports movies, classic Hollywood, horror...

Thanks, we've tried most of these, but I'll look into Zombieland and Hot Rod. She liked Pitch Perfect okay, but did not like School of rock at all. Derek Zoolander she found really dumb. I get it, she's hard to please. But there's also a million movies that I've never heard of, so I know there are more out there.

I haven't heard of it, thank you!

I'll check out the remake - I don't know that the original (which I loved) has aged well.

My 12 year old is a rising 7th grader who is not interested in princesses, fairy tales, romance, or the lives of teenagers, or anything involving coming of age really.
She also can't handle anything scary and isn't a big fan of violence/action. She usually ends up watching kids movies and is disappointed.

Any idea for funny movies/shows for tweens?

Any ideas? We usually end up watching Saturday night live reruns.
She did like Troop Zero, Enola Holmes, and Cunk on Earth.
