Just because your kids didn't qualify for honor roll doesn't mean there is grade inflation in middle school. What would even be the point?

No. Because it might hurt other kids' feelings. But they did have a ceremony at the end of the year for nonsense that had nothing to do with academics.

Kid got an honor roll student certificate at the end of every quarter. That was the end of that.

No, there’s a certificate with final grades but the grades aren’t out for about two weeks so everyone has already moved on for the summer. No biggie.

Ours gives out certificates for A/B and all A Honor Roll. Student names aren't published online or in a printed list though.
