Colombian fans started climbing the gates and breaking other gates so the police shut the gates and stopped letting people in. This caused a huge back up because apparently you there wasn’t a perimeter around the stadium where tickets scanned, they were allowing fans to get all the way to the gate to check their tickets and go through security.
So then people (including lots of kids) were getting crushed and the barricades collapsed and all hell broke loose. People rushed in. Police and security gave up. Anyone could literally just walk in. So they have no idea how many people are actually in there.
Fans stormed the VIP suites just sat in random seats, and ticket holders show up and say hey, you’re in my seat, move. And the reply is no, I’m not moving. Security refuses to get involved. It’s insane.
So none of those people in there have been through a security check. I think they stopped letting people in, leaving scores of legit ticket holders in the parking lot unable to get in the stadium. They were Argentina fans dressed as Colombians.

How is the US going to be prepared to host the Word Cup. The game was supposed to start almost 90 minutes ago. I am amazed the players are willing to play. So many people rushing the stadium did NOT go through any type of security screening!
