Thanks for this thread. I just ordered a Lodge enamel-coated cast iron Dutch oven. I've wanted one for years.

I bought the saute pan with lid. Even with the Prime deal it’s a lot more than I’m comfortable paying for cookware but I’m desperate to replace the cheap, crappy and most likely toxic pan that I’ve been using. I hope it meets/ exceeds my expectations.

FWIW Prime Day has Caraway cookware at 20% off.

Over on Amazon the Caraway 11.8” sautee pan with lid says:
SIMPLE CARE: Our cookware ais made for any kitchen and cooktop. Use them on low to medium heat and add a dash of oil or butter for an effortless glide. Our cookware is also oven-safe up to 550ºF.

Oooh thank you for flagging that. I just looked at the ceramic frypans on greenpan.com and most say “FREE OF PFAS, PFOA, LEAD & CADMIUM.” Not all though.

Sometimes mfgs will have their own sales to counter prime day. I’d check and see if our place is having one before buying a green pan.

I switched to stainless steel for everything, even eggs. You just have to preheat the pan, then let it cool for cooking. Plus, you can scrub it with a metal scrubby if anything does get stuck. My main skillet is 10 years old and looks brand new.

Imo “nontoxic” in these situations just means they replaced one thing with a new thing that hasn’t been tested/studied/regulated yet.

Anyone thinking about Prime Day purchases?

I’m hoping Caraway and/or higher lines of Greenpan will go on sale.
