I can’t drink any longer. I lost interest because I didn’t feel good afterwards. You’re not alone!

Same! I can't sleep anymore if I drink more than one glass of wine daily.

Same. 50 here. I was so excited about attending a happy hour yesterday. Feel awful today. Combination of 2 beers and junk food (basic fried greasy appetizers). My body can no longer take it. Hot flashes are 10X more intense and frequent. Nice to know others have similar sensitivities.

Yes. Champagne is better ime. But even so...

Same here. PMS and alcoholic beverages are the two things that trigger hot flashes for me.

The migraine I get from just one or two drinks can last for days. Hard to justify. Enjoying a glass of wine in my garden was one of my favorite ways to end a Friday. Sadly no longer.

Yep. You’ll find lots of others give up alcohol to feel better

I get horrible anxiety and palpitations now, age 44. I barely drink anymore and if I have a drink - one - I do it early in the night hours before bed.

Yes, for sure. It’s natures way of saying it’s time to drink less.

Yes, drinking totally messes with my sleep and I feel for days. It started during menopause, ten years ago. I had to cut back but even 1 or 2 drinks follows me for days. I am doing a dry July and my sleep is so much better. I don't feel like my heart is racing and have much more energy. I may quit drinking forever.

Yup. 45 here, and I only have maybe one drink a week, if that. Many weeks I drink no alcohol at all.

I had to quit drinking in my early 40s. The after effects (crappy sleep, feeling hungover, 2-day migraines) are not worth it.

I occasionally throw caution to the wind for special occasions, which means drinking one unit of alcohol followed by 12 glasses of water. And even then I still feel like crud the next day about 50% of the time.

I think it's either age or peri or menopause but alcohol affects me unpleasantly now.

For me, I think it's more the sleep than anything. The alcohol is to blame because it interferes with sleep - I don't think I have a sudden intolerance of alcohol.

I had three drinks over the course of maybe six hours last night with friends, alternating with plenty of water.
I feel awful today - sleepy, foggy, meh. I am definitely going to bed early.
With age, I feel like drinking completely messes with my sleep. At first it was wine that bothered me, but now it's really anything at all. Anybody else?
