I have blepharitis and rosacea and have these issues too. Ophthalmologist has basically told me nothing they can do.

Went to an opthalmologist once for chronic eye pain. Spent 4 hours on a battery of tests (mostly wait time between tests in different rooms) just to be told "you seem fine".

Are you caught up on the basics -- sleep, drinking water, correct prescription and good glasses, getting off screens, wearing sunglasses?

See an Ophthal. You may have dry eye syndrome (serious), blepharitis, meibomian gland dysfunction, etc. There are many dry eye problems. don't see an optician or optometrist. go to an Ophthal and preferably one that really understands dry eye



Same poster: You may also have this: Keratoconjunctivitis sicca is chronic, bilateral desiccation of the conjunctiva and cornea due to an inadequate tear film. Symptoms include itching, burning, irritation, and photophobia. Diagnosis is clinical; the Schirmer test may be helpful.. I use the eyedrops made out of my own blood four times a day. It has helped a lot.

My eyes always seems to hurt. They water constantly and it's hard to keep them open. When I press against them or close them tightly it feels better. How do I know if this is just really bad allergies or some other problem? I take Claritin daily and I've stopped wearing my contacts.
