Not true. Groundhogs dig tunnels under house and can cause damage to foundation.

We had a couple and put out a large cage and got them in with a path of vegetables and fruit into the cage. We took them about five miles away to a wooded area and let them go. Haven't seen any since and this was five years ago

Groundhogs are a danger to your plants, yard and landscaping. They are absolutely no threat to you and your family.

If you don't want them to damage your plants and dig holes, then humanely trap and release somewhere else. But do not kill it.
