We our team jumps around divisions 10-13 ish and we have no tech suit team rule. But also no one is wearing tech suits to a meets because they are expensive.
NVSL doesn’t allow bonded seams for 12&U (neither does USA Swimming). That’s the definition of technical suits in rule book. NVSL does allow kneeskins and other fast suits for 12&U, as long as they’re the approved kind.
This. Our 12&Us wear kneeskins for relay carnival, divisionals and relay/ individual all stars. If DCs are going for a record, they wear them to a B meet. I am very much against them wearing kneeskins/ fast suits to A meets.

The boost that 12Us likely get from a non-tech kneeskin is going to be psychological, not physical.

For a rec league it is pretty unsportsmanlike to wear them at A meets.
