Plants are NOT a good gift. They require care on the part of the recipient.

She doesn't need to take anything, but if she does, an edible gift like a box of chocolates is better.

I agree that a gift is not necessary but sending her in with a box of chocolates will make both of you more comfortable when she enters the party.

I agree that a gift is not necessary. If there is something small and economical that she knows with certainty that he likes, it would be fine to bring that, but a gift for a gift's sake is not necessary.

Do not bring a gift. She is just joining to keep boyfriend company. The dad does not want a gift from his son’s 15 yr old girlfriend. Adult birthday parties don’t usually involve gifts at all. They are just parties to socialize and celebrate.

So my daughter (15 yr old) was invited to her boyfriend's dad's birthday party. I've never met the parents in person before but I've casually texted with the mom. I feel odd sending her empty handed. What is a good thoughtful gift idea that isn't too much or personal?
