It's really upsetting. You never see drivers blocking traffic and not caring. Well, ok we double park sometimes but that's just for a minute so it's ok.

Single file. No idea of the law but I’ve never seen a bike lane wide enough to ride side by side in the same direction safely.

The law on this is different in different places. In DC, it's legal to ride two abreast in a bike or mixed lane as long as it doesn't impede the flow of traffic. It's also legal for a bicycle to move up next to stopped cars to come to the front of an intersection.
