But what I am telling you is that it’s a political misstep and feeds into the narrative that the Democrats use censorship, misuse of the judicial system, and threats of prison to quell political dissent. A big percentage of the country thinks that Trump was politically prosecuted. I don’t agree, but a lot of people believe this. Now you have the DOJ going after someone who was apparently earnestly trying to blow the whistle on what a lot of voters consider medicalized child abuse? It feeds into the existing narrative, and builds what OP is talking about.

Hyperventilating about how the prosecution is correct legally is useless and not helpful. Biden has a serious problem in how he is perceived and it’s time for Democrats to be realistic about that.

dp; I understood what you meant. I think that many democrats (like hyperventilating pp) choose to start complaining about republicans reflexively instead of discussing the issues on substance.

There has to be reasons why Trump is more trusted by the people sampled for this poll, and if people don’t want to discuss the possibilities, they should create their own thread to talk about Trump and republicans.

Reality here - sorry, we all saw what happened on January 6th. There is nothing even remotely equivalent from Biden.

+1 I agree that no matter how popular a president is, at some point everyone is done with him and wants new blood. That goes for presidents from both parties.

I agree that people are pissed off right now, too.

I've lived here for the last 20 years so maybe January 6 is a more important issue to me than it is to the average swing state voter. Or maybe we're just in this unfortunate situation where no matter who's in charge, people are pissed off and look back fondly on the time when the other party was in power.
