I’d tell her that most women shave or wear board shirts in the most neutral tones. Then ask which she prefers to do. Do not let her embarrass herself in public.

No, some people are just really oblivious and it could be years and years until she realizes... in which case, she might feel really hurt nobody told her. Young teens are not known for much self-awareness.

I know this, because I have a family of inattentive ADHD relatives. If you don't point out certain things, they might not ever notice - and then they'll wonder why things don't work out. Also, my young teen without ADHD don't notice much about her own body!

Is it possible to get her a swimsuit that covers more down there? If you think it's really noticeable regardless of suit style, then you do have to say something and guide her to the best bikini razors to avoid ingrown hairs and irritation.
