Overcooked pasta or rice
Finely Ground Sausage or ground beef, well cooked with extra water or stock
Salisbury steak with gravy
Portabello mushrooms, well cooked
Crab legs
Crab cakes
Overcooked boiled carrots, peeled and chopped small
Roasted or sautéed squash (peel and over cook with extra oil)
Creamed spinach
Ribs, slow cooked with bbq sauce
Pulled pork or beef slow cooked in sauce
Eggs- Can add mushroom, onion, ham if you overcook and chop small
Feta or goat cheese with hummus
Spaghetti squash
Tomato sauce that’s not too chunky
Cantaloupe, ripe
Watermelon, ripe
Macaroni salad
Cole slaw
Hard boiled eggs
Pickled beets
Fresh ripe peaches, peeled, warmed, mashed or puréed, add just a touch of sweetener if needed and some water, good on top of ice cream or made into jello- Can do the same thing with berries, if you can’t handle the seeds you can put through strainer

I think a thick lentil soup would be good. But yeah, it’s going to be a soup extravaganza.

Slow cooked meat that falls off the bone.

I'm having a tooth extracted this week, and while I know all the usual soft foods (applesauce, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc.), I was wondering if anyone had better savory options, or some ideas I hadn't thought of. I know there's also soup, but it's pretty hot and there's only so much gazpacho I can handle.

While a younger version of me, or any of my kids, would be happy to eat nothing but pudding and froyo all week, adult me would like something that actually tastes like a meal!
