We have the Costco thermoflask ones, they come with 2 lids: spout and straw, so could choose which one to use or alternate. My kids prefer the straw and I just put it in dishwasher. It’s relatively wide, so cleans well in the dishwasher.

To not leak you need some sort of plastic part usually. Those get moldy unless cleaned. I like my thermos no straw bottles.

I like the ThermoFlask bottles with the sip lid from Costco. Very easy to clean! They are on the large side, so depending on your kids’ ages it may be too big. My 8yo DS has used them for a year now and they work well.

I also have a Funtainer with the spout vs. the straw lid for my 6yo. No complaints.

We like Owalas, but you know they have a rubber part that you’re supposed to peel out of the top and clean regularly?

I have had two odwallas this year and they both broke - the spring in the button mechanism popped off - I kept putting it back on but eventually it went kaput on both …

We've used the funtainer with chug spout rather than straw for almost a year now and haven't had any issues. We don't put in the dishwasher but no straw means it's easy to clean by hand.

My kids have Yetis which fit all your criteria except for the cost. They hold up well and should last a long time so the value is good. Bonus is they run sales when you can get them customized for free and then the kid’s name is on there permanently.

My son and I both love Simple Modern. Available on Amazon. I have a tumbler that comes with both a sip top and a straw top. My son has a water bottle. Easy to clean, doesn’t leak, and stays super cold. And pretty cheap.

(I assume we should be avoiding straws entirely if we can't keep on top of cleaning them out by hand regularly, yes? But open to any type of top that meets the above criteria.)
