My son got lucky then my daughter not so much. I am 6'0 and DW 5'2. Our 10 year old daughter is 4'6.
But my son is 12 and already 5'8 and quite muscular already. On my side we have height but we are skinny. He is an outlier.

Not to be done too early in HS though, generally not before 9 grade or it might do some harm. No idea where these thoughts came from but it was discussed in the weight room. Btw, he never took any supplements that many weight lifters use.
I'm 5' 2", DH 5"6". DS is 5'8 and 1/2!
