Those are my color eyes and everybody says they are light brown and not hazel

I am 16:26
Mine never ever read as greenish brown. The slight rays are very short and disappear if pupil is dilated.
Maybe olive is the wrong word for me to use. No yellow or brown in it, maybe I should say like an avocado skin without the blue the forest green rim has.

I'd say hazel. I also have hazel eyes.

This is precisely what my eyes look like and many people have told me they are hazel instead of green because of the golden rays around the pupil and because I think the olive green can read as greenish-brown in some light (in other light they read as blueish-green -- in sunlight they just look green).

Interestingly neither of my parents have green eyes. Dad has brown and mom has blue. On sibling has brown eyes and two others have blue. I am the only family member I know of with green eyes (or hazel or whatever). So I am guessing mutation!

I’d call those green, but im not sure why I’d care unless I was filling out a drivers license form.

Driver's license says green and otherwise I avoid discussing it with people because for some reason it's triggering to them. I don't get it -- I would never argue with someone over whether their eyes are blue or gray for instance. Or brown versus hazel. I don't know why this is important to people and I don't think one color is more attractive than another -- it kind of depends on your coloring and how it works with the rest of your features anyway.

I can relate. My eyes are a dark greyish-blue, and very blue in the light, but when I say they are blue people quibble with me. It’s weird.

they are both hazel, as are mine.

However, mine turn more green the redder I am. My late spouse would call me "green eyed monster" when I was mad.

I have splotches of green, blue, gray and brown in my eyes. They read green, so that's what I say I have.

both are predominately green

my mother had hazel eyes, with only a thin green ring around the outer edges of the circle

its the majority color that decides the name

I have blue eyes but with a hazel inner ring (nearest the iris)

There many shades without the "green" category, but only 2% of the population has green eyes. The 2 you showed look hazel to me. Though the second might be.

I cannot tell which color my eyes are. They are olive in shade but a little brown ring around the pupil.

There seems to also be central heterochromia that is confused with hazel.

Mine are like this:

This is not me but a shade or so lighter green than this man’s eye but somewhat like this lady’s:
