When we realized the family members of our DC1’s fellow HS graduates last month were introduced…as the grandparents…and they looked our age (or younger!).

But I’m good with it. Got a late-in-life start to a family but rolled the dice twice and had two, healthy and happy children.

Did you take it or try to have some youthful response?

I got arthritis when I was 18, so I've never felt that way. BTW, it's going to rain tomorrow.

I only wear contacts maybe twice a year, but when I put them in and see my face up close without my glasses to magnify my eyeballs a bit, I look so much older than I realized.

I've never had the luxury of thinking I was invincible.

I'm a 42 year old college professor.

I've always felt like I remember being in my undergrads' shoes and can relate to them somewhat. A few years ago they started frequently saying things like "Oh you're just like my mom!" or "My mom says the same thing!" which is normal but a sobering shift.

Seeing photos from my high school's 25 year reunion (I didn't attend) and thinking, "Everyone looks so old!"

Followed by, "Oh, noooo...."
