Counting exactly 2 years from 1st or 2nd breast bud is just weird. Teach your child how to use a pad and what to look for and stop worrying about it. Tell her she can always go to the nurse if she’s at school and needs help. You’re making this much worse than it is.

There was a girl in high school who had one C-cup and one B-cup. She grew up to be a stripper, seriously, so, don't worry this won't hold your daughter back.

One breast bud indicates the hormones that signal the onset of puberty are present. Obviously the 2 years is an inexact estimate, but it definitely starts from the appearance of one breast bud.

Not a proper one obviously, but I have no memory of when puberty started for me and mom did not prepare me for it.

Our pediatrician had said at her 10 year appointment that DD had not started puberty yet. Anyway, I just want to try and make it an easier/better transition for my DD than it was for me.

Pretty common. I had this my sister too. My breasts are the same size but hers are different sizes. I mean it’s average 2 years so it’s not an exact count down.

DD is almost 11 and has recently (maybe 2 months) started having one breast bud. I am sure it’s normal and the other will follow, but I was wondering if this is common. When do we start the average 2-year count to period? Now or after the other breast starts developing? She has no under arm hair and not much visible in the pubic region either. Thanks!
